Bombshell Finished!

Whew! I finished my first sweater! whoo, hoo! Big needles: 10, small needles 6 (the 5's were just not sliding well and the 6's looked good). I also used Berroco Softwist Fern.

Knit-picking:

I don't think I have the hang of where short rows go. :( I think I knitted one large boob on the left side.

But the sweater fits great! I had to lengthen the bottom of it SIGNIFICANTLY because I have a long torso. I think I added a total of four inches to the bottom of the sweater. I'm not really happy at how the increases look - I swear I followed the pattern. My problem with it: they're going in the same direction. For symmetry sake, I would have preferred this to go in the opposite direction - but I think for a first time attempt at knitting something that I'll actually wear, I'm very pleased with the outcome of this thing.

As soon as it's dried, I'll post a photo of it on.

Great job! I found you through the Big Girls Yahoo group.

By the way, where are you? I'm in Houston.

That looks good - you should submit it to the BGK editors - I think they have a gallery of finished items.

That's amazing! I'm so jealous, as I've only just got my copy and have other things to finish first. This would be my first choice from BGK.

Also from AK...nicely done! I love the waist shaping. Will we see it modeled?
