FO - Mid-September Dishcloth KAL

I was able to knit this up on Sunday afternoon/evening.

It's the Monthy Dishcloth Knit-a-long pattern for mid-September. I used SnC Gumdrop. I'm sending it to my sister for her birthday. Here's the final gift:

J had the idea to wrap the dishcloth around the foamy soap. I love how it looks like a snuggly robe. A while back, I bought 5 foaming soaps for $15 from Bath & Body works. I've slowly been sending them out with birthday gifts. I have one left and that's going to be for my mom.

Added Note: Someone from MonthlyDishcloth Yahoo! group has dubbed the above gift as the dishwashing diva.

I love the name!

That's so cute! I may "borrow" the idea if I ever finish up my current WIP.

Very cute! What would you do if you are giving 4 or 5 cloths, and only 2 liquid hand soaps? Wonder if it would work as well wrapping 2 cloths per soap bottle.

I also did the B&BW 5 soaps for $15. Then a week or so afterwards, they were selling them for 4 for $10. Grrr... dontcha just hate when that happens?

That's great! Congratulate your husband for a great idea :-)

If you give more washcloths than one, you could fold them under the "belt" to look like large towel, perhaps?

I'm borrowing the idea tomorrow, for my church secret pal. I already made her a dishcloth and then whipped up the mid-Sept KAL, too! I'm giving both. I thought of putting the other dishcloth around the bottle, like a shawl. Oh, and I think the crochet part of the dish-dress looks better this time around, than on my original back in September! Practice makes perfect. I will get a picture up on my blog tomorrow. I still have to go to BBW to get the foamy soap, though.
