Started the Hex Coat
I have almost 10 inches knitted on the left panel for the Hex Coat. I love the Renolds Lite-Lopi yarn. It's Dark Gray.
I've learned how to do the Noregian Purl and it allows me to knit this up a little faster than I've done in the past. Here's a close up on the seed/moss stitch.
Here's a close up of the indentations where the Hex's will go. They're a little smaller than I had envisioned, but that's fine.

This is beautiful! I saw your post on the ample-knit list and had to come peek. Someday I would like to do this and yours look amazing! Can't wait to see if you decide to make the hex's in color or leave it that lovely heathered gray. Great job!
Beautiful work! I was very intrigued with this piece from Knitting Nature - in fact the whole book is a work of art, isn't it? I look forward to seeing your progress on this and hoping to learn vicariously through your experience.
